Bands and Boat Stories - a fun filled weekend for everyone is on its way!

Monday 04 April 2016 12:01pm

Happy Monday everyone! It's the last week of the school holidays, and we have an action packed weekend of music and film coming up to see the holidays off with a bang.

Thursday evening sees the acoustic duo Kit Hawes and Aaron Catlow at Fremington Quay Cafe, they're in West Anstey on Friday night too. Kit and Aaron last visited us as part of Nuala Honan Music's band, and they went down a storm.

You can see the rocking Buster Shuffle Official twice this weekend - Friday night in West Down, and Saturday night in Swimbridge Jubilee Hall. This band have amazing reviews, and a huge international following so make sure you take this rare opportunity to see them in a local village hall.

There are only two more chances to see Boat Stories North Devon with Beaford Arts. One of those is on Friday night in Woolacombe Village Hall. Jo Stewart-Smith will take you through a series of ten short films about people whose lives revolve around fishing and working boats in northern Devon. The films will be followed by a performance by local sea shanty band Anchors Aweigh.

More information on these events and the rest of the spring seaon is online here http://www.beaford-arts.org.uk/index.php?id=202. You can book your tickets online too.

All of these events are suitable for all ages.

Have a great week, and see you this weekend!
