PeopleJuice with Mean Feet Dance

It’s dance, but not as you know it

Poking about in all the juicy bits of life with honesty, humour and a smattering of false hairpieces.

Take in the motley crew of village characters: their highs and lows, hopes and heartbreaks and the bizarre rituals and minutiae of everyday life. This promenade performance uses the village as its stage – the pub, the church, the village green…

In a series of dance and comic physical theatre sketches held together by a preposterous storyline, PeopleJuice offers a not to be missed chance to see dance and the villages of High Bickington and Berrynarbor like you’ve never seen them before.

"Their inventive style, humour and commitment is impressive. I am a fan." – John Struthers, Institute of Contemporary Interdisciplinary Arts, Bath

“I laughed out loud and then felt really moved and then laughed out loud again” – audience member

Mean Feet Dance have an excellent track record in Dance-in-Education engaging both gifted and reluctant children and young people in fun, inclusive dance activities. The dance sessions promote creative thinking, self-expression, team work and healthy lifestyles, specialising in issue based and citizenship projects.

Viv Gordon who set up Mean Feet Dance in 2003, has worked extensively in community dance and has a passion for creating user-friendly dance opportunities for people aged 0-95. The aim of PeopleJuice is to get everyone and anyone from the local communities to get involved, to have fun, and make the most of their bodies.

PeopleJuice will take place in the villages of High Bickington and Berrynarbor on 22nd and 29th April 2012.
